High School Soccer
The National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) is the national leader and advocate for high school athletics.
The NFHS writes playing rules for high school sports and provides online education courses for high school coaches and officials through the NFHS Learning Center.
There are two governing bodies in Iowa for High School Soccer. The boys are governed by the Iowa High School Athletic Association (IHSAA) headquartered in Boone, and the girls are governed by the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union (IGHSAU) located in Des Moines.
If you would like to officiate Boys High School Soccer, go to the IHSAA Officials Hub and follow the instructions provided to create a Dragonfly account and get registered. You will also need to complete an online soccer rules meeting and pass the soccer rules exam.
If you would also like to officiate Girls High School Soccer, go to the IGHSAU Officials Site and follow the instructions provided to get registered. You will also need to complete the same online soccer rules meeting and pass the soccer rules exam as required by the IHSAA.
