Recertification and Registration
The Iowa Referee Committee (IRC) has OPENED the 2027 Registration Window with US Soccer for all Iowa Referees. US Soccer's 2027 registration year began on July 1, 2026 and will close June 1, 2027. Iowa is a Learning Center state. Recertification and Registration is accomplished entirely online through the US Soccer Learning Center. Use of a PC or Mac is recommended vs. a Smartphone. Chrome is the preferred browser.
If you were registered with US Soccer for 2026 licensed either as a Referee, Regional Referee, or Regional Emeritus Referee and would like to register for 2027, click on the corresponding referee badge below to start the process.
👉 IMPORTANT: If you let your registration lapse and did not register for 2026 but were registered in 2023, 2024, and/or 2025 and want to re-register, you can complete the applicable recertification module.
CHANGE: Referees under the age of 18 will be issued a green badge for registration year 2027. The Green Badge Initiative is a key component of US Soccer's ongoing #RespectTheCall Campaign.
NOTE: If you believe that you satisfy the requirements to register as an Regional Emeritus Referee for the first time, contact the State Referee Administrator (SRA), Rob Sorey.
Official Sports International (OSI) will begin distributing 2027 Referee Badges to registered Iowa referees in October 2026. Make sure that your mailing address is current in your Learning Center Profile.
